Plain English summary
These terms apply to anyone who uses the RoamRani website (roamrani.com) or books a journey with us. RoamRani is a brand of Taj Travel Services, a government-registered tour operator based in New Delhi, India.
By using our website or confirming a booking, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't book — and do contact us if you have questions before you do.
A booking is confirmed when:
Until both conditions are met, no booking exists. An enquiry or itinerary proposal does not constitute a confirmed booking.
You are responsible for providing accurate information — name (as it appears on your passport), travel dates, dietary requirements, medical conditions relevant to your travel, and emergency contacts. Errors in the information you provide may affect your journey and are your responsibility to correct promptly.
If you are booking for a group, you are responsible for ensuring all group members have read and agreed to these terms. You become the lead contact for the booking and are responsible for all payments.
A deposit of 30% of the total trip cost is required to confirm your booking. We will hold provisional arrangements for 5 working days after sending your confirmation; if the deposit is not received within that window, the booking lapses.
The remaining balance is due 60 days before your departure date. For bookings made within 60 days of departure, the full amount is due at the time of booking.
We accept bank transfer and major credit/debit cards. Payment details are provided in your booking confirmation. All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise agreed.
Once your booking is confirmed and deposit paid, your price is locked. We will not increase it. The only exception is a government-imposed tax or levy introduced after your booking date — in which case we will notify you immediately and give you the option to cancel with a full refund.

We will accommodate reasonable changes where possible — shifting dates, swapping a destination, adjusting accommodation. Changes requested more than 60 days before departure are usually made without a fee. Changes within 60 days may incur supplier costs, which we will communicate before making any change.
We reserve the right to make necessary changes to your itinerary — for example, if a property becomes unavailable or a route becomes unsafe. We will notify you immediately, explain the reason, and provide a suitable alternative. If the alternative is materially worse and you are not satisfied, you may cancel and receive a full refund of the affected portion.

Force majeure situations (serious illness, government travel warnings, natural disasters) are handled individually and fairly — we don't hide behind small print in genuine emergencies.
Comprehensive travel insurance — including medical cover and emergency evacuation — is required for all RoamRani journeys. This is non-negotiable.
You must provide proof of cover before your departure. If you travel without adequate insurance and require medical assistance, evacuation, or repatriation, the costs are entirely your responsibility.
We reserve the right to end a trip early if a traveller's behaviour creates serious risk or harm. In such cases, no refund is provided.

If something goes wrong during your trip, tell your guide or contact us on WhatsApp immediately. Most problems are best solved on the ground, in real time — not in a complaint letter six weeks later.
If you remain unsatisfied after your trip, send a written complaint to hello@roamrani.com within 28 days of returning. We take every complaint seriously and respond within 14 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by direct communication will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New Delhi, India.
