You're not the only one
India has been on the list for years. The trip never happened.
Not because you're not ready. Because going alone is a different thing. A mixed group tour full of strangers isn't the answer either. You want to travel with women who share your pace — a women-only group, with female guides in every city.

What women say after their trip
★★★★★
"I travelled solo as a woman and felt completely safe the entire time. The Taj at sunrise was one of those moments you can't fully prepare for. Worth every penny."

"Shoutout to Jaya in Agra who became my favourite tour guide ever. She was so kind and welcoming. I had the BEST time with her. My driver genuinely cared for my safety and my needs. Overall 10/10 experience."

"Naveen was truly the best — incredible Taj Mahal knowledge, navigated the crowds perfectly, connected me with a professional photographer. An absolutely memorable experience."
"India has been on my bucket list for 10 years. I just never found the right people to go with."
"I travel solo all the time. I wanted company for India specifically — it felt like a trip that deserves to be shared."
"I looked at group tour companies. 25 strangers on a bus, rushed pace, no flexibility. That's not what I wanted."

Who you're trusting
Meet Chetna & Samarth
Chetna
Co-founder · Guest Experience
Chetna has travelled solo across India with the quiet confidence of someone who knows her country. She curates the group dynamic — who sits at dinner, who shares a guide, how the energy flows.
Samarth
Co-founder · Logistics & Operations
Samarth has spent over a decade building travel experiences across India. Every hotel, every guide, every transfer is his call — chosen because he'd put his own family on it.
"We started RoamRani because too many women said India was on their list — and never went. The group tours exist because some of those women said: I'd go if I could go with other women like me."
— Chetna & Samarth, Co-founders
Questions women ask us
Honest answers.
What if I don't know anyone in the group?
That's the whole point. Everyone arrives as a stranger. We share a group WhatsApp before departure so you can connect beforehand. In our experience, the women who join these trips are exactly who you'd want to travel with — independent, curious, and good company. The shared experience does the rest.
What if the departure doesn't confirm?
We let you know as early as possible — well before the close date — if a departure is looking uncertain, so you have time to plan. We'll reach out personally and work through your options with you.
How is this different from a regular group tour?
This is a women-only group — every traveller is a woman, and your guides in each city are women. Maximum 12 per group — not 25 strangers. Private AC vehicle. Female guides who know the group by name. Your choice of 4-star or 5-star hotel. And the whole trip is run by Chetna and Samarth directly, not a third-party operator.
Is India safe to travel as a woman?
Yes — when you travel with people who know what they're doing. Every driver is government-registered and police-verified. Every guide holds an ASI licence. You'll have Chetna's or Samarth's personal number from the moment you land. In 10+ years and 450+ trips, we've had zero safety incidents. That's not luck — it's how we operate.
What does the $200 deposit cover?
It holds your spot and goes toward your total tour price. The balance is due 60 days before departure. We'll send the full payment and cancellation terms along with the deposit payment link.
Can I extend before or after the group tour?
Yes. Many women add a day or two in Delhi before the group starts, or continue to Varanasi, Ranthambore, or Amritsar after Jaipur. We can arrange private extensions — just mention it when you enquire and we'll build a separate quote.
